Fedorov was always more interested in school and research than fighting and the church. To him, the questions of how to heal others and how to navigate the stars were more important. This was all well and good until the civil war in the wake of the great war reached the shores of his sector. Spared from the draft by his stellar grades he is not spared from bloodshed, instead the battle turns to his planet, and soon even his city. Following the vicious engagement in the streets and buildings of his campus, Fedorov set off to join the navy in the name of civic duty, and to do his part for the great nation that he resided in. His enlistment and boot camp serve as a wonderful wakeup call to the real world, different from the soft life he once lived as an academic, Fedorov took to his position as a navigator aboard the battlestar Bismarck's Dream as though it were a commandment passed down by Sigmar himself. During his first four years of service, a group of mutineers attempt to overtake the Bismarck’s Dream but thanks in large part to the work of Fedorov the mutineers were eliminated with lethal force, though a few members of the mutineering crew escaped his grasp, and for that reason the admiralty saw fit to keep him as a simple lineman for the remainder of his service. In his next few years of service in the fleet, he became the head of astrogation within the Bismarck’s Dream and would come to be respected by those who he served with for his skill at plotting courses with the still new and experimental hyperspace drive. Unfortunately the man who got away from Fedorov six years prior had become a pirate captain, and due to a mistake in Fedorov's calculations the Bismarck’s Dream jumped into a system with the escaped crewman, now going by the name Pirate Captain Wolfzart who’s skill in battle bested his captain resulting in Fedorov himself sustating light injuries. Sadly for Fedorov this mistake would prove to be his last in his navel carrer. On the journey to the nearest port, Fedorov would come High Inquisitor Adalwolf Fedorov - Scholar to befriend a gunnier officer who was instrumental in keeping the Bismark’s Dream alive, Agatha Isaev. The two would quickly grow to be friends and even after Fedorov left the vessel the two stayed in contact with each other often. Deciding the spacers life was for Fedorov, and because the scout services at the starport were offering a private apartment, a rare luxury in the Deutschland, he quickly signed up. Only for the government to reject the paperwork, after they discovered that Fedorov was in fact never drafted, and thus still was required to server a term in the military. This term of service was declared to be part of the army, wherein Fedorov became a gunship pilot, even rescuing a group of trapped troops while they were surrounded and outgunned. He quickly began to rise the ranks in the army. As he gains ranks and fame within the army for his piloting skills, he is soon assigned as the personal pilot to a priest of Sigmar on the church planet of Sigmars Guiding Light, supposedly the place that the Deutschland had been using to navigate since they first fled the original Vers, also known as mars. Unfortunately a group of radical Lawgarists attacked the church planet, including bombing the shuttle pad where the priest Fedorov was supposed to be flown to and from, this resulted in extensive injuries to Fedorov. After receiving bare bones medical care, getting him to the point of being able to be a part of society, he was once again cut free, as a 40 year old man. But the government was kind enough to reward him for his service by making him a scholar, like he had always dreamed. Soon after becoming a researcher though, he is asked to research the Ancient Warmind Gravemind, long lost in the Milky Way. Fedorov refused on moral and ethical grounds. His hardline belief to the church and to the ways of the Deutschland lead him to be drafted by the Church itself as a researcher into Sigmars Gift or as most others call it, magic. In which he excels, making many new discoveries. While climbing the ranks of researcher, the church soon asks him to take his research into the Inquisition itself and before he can even decline, he is drafted. Given advanced medicine to help heal up his old wounds, and told that his military training and knowledge of the arcane arts would make him a valuable inquisitor. Following his quick training and introduction he is told that he would be shipped to the world of Neubayern and told that he must maintain relations between the Deutschland and the Neubayern Topas Alliance. To which Fedorov agrees, with the single demand that the High Inquisitor Adalwolf Fedorov - Scholar battlestar he commands while on service be the Bismarck’s Dream. To which he is told no, and is instead given command of the Rocens Hope a newer and better equipped battlestar, though he is given permission to select his own crew.
