#### Career and Subfield skills. Career skills are the skills listed in the table with the three subfield for a given career. ##### Career Skill Check A Career skill check is done by rolling 2D6 + one of the listed skills for any of the skills listed under any of the Subfields ##### Subfield Skill Check A subfield skill check is rolling 2D6 + one of the six skills listed on your chosen subfields skill table + the relevant stat for that skill. If you wish to use a different skill then the one listed, consult with your game master. When rolling an Subfield or Career Skill Table check, use whichever subfield column is applicable for the subfield the Character is in. _For example, James is asked to roll against a skill on his Career skill table. His career is in the [[Federation Army]], where he has the assignment of Infantry. He rolled event 3, and so can choose which of the skills in the Career Skill Table, specifically the Infantry column, he wants to roll against, and selects Recon. James then rolls a Recon skill check needing to match or pass an 8+ check. _
