# Federation Jyd-I **Description:** The Jyd-I are a quasi-Religious group, who believe their understanding of the Planes of existence and the gods and creatures which inhabit them is based on science. As such, they are confident that their view is in fact not religious but simply the truth of the world. This is what you are doing, and determines which skill table you use for steps 7 & 8 as well as Subfield Skill Check's. _Warrior_: - You are a warrior for a Jyd-I order. You fight and defend your keep, and go on quests for your order to raise your own status and grow closer to your understanding of the truth. Sometimes you are tasked with dealing with investigations as a semi-impartial group within the Federation often trusted more then police or international equivalents like the witchers. _Educator_: - You control the your orders understanding of the faith and you educate those who have joined your order, and keep information for them. You are a librarian, teacher, scholar, all rolled into one. _Proselytizer_: - Your job is to out into the world and practice what you have learned; help people and engage with them so-as to convert them to the Jyd-I faith. You are an ambassador for your order, and it is your job and obligation to the order to always live by your orders tenants; to be a shining paragon and example of them. If you succeed, increase the used skill by 2, if you fail, increase the used skill by 1 suffer an [[Injury]] and gain a [[Contacts#Rival\|Rival]]. | | 3 | **Preach the Faith** - You have been dispatched to spread the word of the Jyd-I religion to a distant planet or colony, and have to overcome some differences. Make a 9+ check with any of the Proselytizer subfield skills. If you succeed, increase the used skill by 2 and gain a [[Contacts#Friend\|Friend]], if you fail increase the used skill by 1 and gain a [[Contacts#Enemy\|Enemy]] | | 4 | **A Leap in Knowledge** - You believe you have discovered an ancient manuscript or artifact which sheds new light on your order's faith and its place in the Known Universe. Make a 9+ check using any of the Educator subfield skills. If you succeed, the discovery is deemed legimate, increase the used skill by 2, increase your [[Social Standing]] by 1, and gain a +1 to your next advancement roll, if you fail you're called a lier, increase the used skill by 1, decrease your [[Social Standing]] by 1, and suffer a -2 to your next advancement roll. | | 5 | **A Close Traitor?** - You believe a close friend, perhaps a mentor, in our order is a heretic and have been tasked with investigating them. Make a check 9+ subfield skill check using your chosen subfield. If you pass, you determine the truth, gain a +2 to your next advnacement roll and increase the used skill by 2. If you fail increase the used skill by 1 and turn an existing positive contact into a [[Contacts#Foe\|Foe]]. | | 6 | **Peace Maker** - While out of the temple, you are tasked to help broker a peace treaty between two warning factions. Make a 9+ skill check using your chosen subfield skills. If you succeed, increase the used skill by 2 and increase the attribute used with that skill by 1, if you fail increase the used skill by 1 but suffer an [[Injury]]. | | 7 | **Life Event** - Life happens! Go to the [[Life Event]] Table and roll 2D6 to see your fate. | | 8 | **A question of faith** You are asked to participate in a ritual which happens only once a century (if not more rare!) Make a [[Word Magic Skill\|Word Magic]] 11+ check. If you succeed, the ritual is a success, the ritual deepens your faith, increase your [[Magic]] by 2, if you fail you begin to question your faith entirely, reduce your [[Magic]] by 1. | | 9 | **A Risky Mission** - You are tasked with infiltrating a criminal organization or cult to gather information. Make a 9+ subfield skill check. If you succeed, increase the used skill by 2, and gain an [[Contacts#Enemy\|Enemy]], if you succeed by 12+, increase the used skill by 3, gain an [[Contacts#Enemy\|Enemy]], and increase your [[Social Standing]] by 1, if you fail increase the used skill by 1, suffer an [[Injury]], reduce your [[Social Standing]] by 1, and gain a [[Contacts#Foe\|Foe]] | | 10 | **A Dark Secrete** - You believe you've uncovered a dark secrete about your order and attempt to confront the other members about it, make a 9+ subfield skill check. If you pass, you are certain about your discovery and can convince others of it, increase the used skill by 2, gain a [[Contacts#Rival\|Rival]] and a +2 to your next advancement roll. If you fail, increase the used skill by 1, suffer -4 to your next *two* advancement rolls, and gain an [[Contacts#Enemy\|Enemy]]. | | 11 | **Wise Beyond its Years** - While on mission you discover a powerful and possibly ancient alien entity or force, make a [[Knowledge]] (Forbidden), [[Psyiscience]], or [[Word Magic Skill\|Word Magic]] 11+ check. If you pass, increase the chosen skill by 1, your [[Magic]] by 2, and gain a [[Contacts#Contact\|Contact]]. If you fail, increase the used skill by 1, decrease your [[Lucidity|Lucidity]] by 10, [[Magic]] by 1, and gain an [[Contacts#Enemy\|Enemy]] | | 12 | **A Thirst for Knowledge** - You work hard to climb the ranks of the order and ascertain knowledge which was previously kept from you. Make an 11+ Subfield Skill Check. If you pass, increase the chosen skill by 2 and gain +2 to your next advancement roll as the order sees you ready to move up. Reduce your [[Social Standing]] by 1 and gain an [[Contacts#Enemy\|Enemy]] | | 3 | **Lost Artifact** - You were tasked with protecting an important Jyd-I artifact, but it was stolen on your watch. You are dishonored and expelled from your order, you are banned from using a void blade, reduce your [[Social Standing]] by 1. | | 4 | **Caught in a Lie** - You are caught in a lie while acting as an ambassador for your order. You have lost the credibility and trust of your order, reduce your [[Social Standing]] and [[Charisma]] by -1. | | 5 | **Misjudged a Situation** - You misjudge a situation while on a mission and made a critical error, resulting in significant damage to your order's reputation. To save face you're expelled from the order. Reduce your [[Social Standing]] by 1 and gain an [[Contacts#Rival\|Rival]] | | 6 | **Injury** - You got injured.
