### Timeframes Skill checks happen in a set amount of time as determined by the Game Master. You may move the timeframe you are doing an activity in up, making the task take longer, for an equal modified to the number of steps in time you've taken. Similarly, you can produce a negative modifier by reducing the time taken to do an activity. Below is a list of timeframes, their names, the rough length, the dice used to determine its length for gameplay purposes, and an example or two of what could be done in that time. Moving up one timeframe grants a +1, and moving down one -1. Each subsequent move up or down a timeframe further grants a +1 or -1. ![[Timeframes Table]]
