# Basic Feudal Treaty Feudal treaties are designed specifically with the parties involved and their specific abilities, resources, etc. Below is a basic example of what a treaty _might_ look like. --- ### Abstract _Feudal society is difficult. It is made up of complex interpersonal relationships. Ones treaty should be thought of more as a rough list of confirmed rights, from which other rights can be appealed to, and enshrined over time._ _One should be careful not to push ones rights too far, as the opposing side is under no real obligation to uphold their end of the bargain except that they ought to. Its up to each side to ensure that the terms of the contract are upheld._ --- ### Main Text - I \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ agree to be fief to \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_. In the further text I shall take the title of Lord or Subject and they shall take the title of Liege or King. - The Subject shall give the King military aid when called upon, and the King shall shall do likewise if it is in the Kings interest to do so. - The Subject shall give their Liege three food every round - The King shall give their subject one population every round - The King shall have open boarders with their subject - The Subject shall not make treaties without consulting their king - The King shall not declare war without consulting the subject. - The King may, in times of need, take resources from the subject, however these resources must be repaid in credits worth twice the value of the taken resources. - Neither the King nor Subject may unilaterally change the terms of this treaty - The Subject is free to appeal the terms of the treaty as they choose, if the King does not give serious consideration, and offer an acceptable reason for dismissible as decided by the subjects peers, the subject may treat this treaty as null and void. --- ## King: ## Subject:
