## Basics of Reading the Map
The map can look a bit confusing at first. The map itself is composed of 16 sub-sectors, arranged in a 4 by 4 grid. Each subsector is composed of 80 parsecs, arranged in an 8 by 10 grid of hexagons.
On the map each hex has a number of features on it. At the top of the hex will be the X and Y coordinates of that parsec. Below the coordinates will be the name of the system. Below the name is the Universal World Profile (UWP), how to read this is explained below. Below the UWP will be any Special Stations, Fuel Depos, or Military Bases the Parsec might have. The parsec may also have one of a variety of symbols on it, these are explained below in the Symbols area, but they highlight key resources to be found in these systems.
