# Random Events Random events are meant to spice things up during the game. Stealing officials 1. lose 1 of each resources and $25 credits 2. Pirates in edge systems 1. spawn pirate fleet at edge of system 3. Pirates in core system 1. spawn pirate fleet in core system 4. Economic boom 1. +5 of each resources and +$200 Credits 5. Bad weather destroys planets ability to produce food - lose 5 * TL food. 6. Fuel wells go dry 1. Lose 3 * TL fuel 7. Economic slump 1. Lose 2 * TL production 8. Things are going great for people! However they don't want to serve the state 1. Lose 1 * TL population 9. Rising political star challanges teh status quo 1. People are getting angry with the governemnt 10. Rising political star supports the government 1. people favour the government more then ever! 11. Terrorist attack 1. There is a terrorist attack in one of your systems! 12. Media targets your family 1. Your family got caught doing something stupid, and now they're the target of the media 13. A strange virus has broken out among your population! ## Random International Events These are the real events which mess with everyone everywhere! Watch out and be careful. Roll 1D3 1. Aliens Attack 1. If it isn't round 3, spawn 1D8 aliens instead of 1D6. Otherwise spawn an extra 1D4 aliens in random places throughout the sector. 2. Plague Breakout 1. A plague has broken out among the people! We aren't (yet) sure where it started, but its ravaging everyone! 2. Everyone loses 1D4 pop next round. 3. Economic recession 1. The economy seems to have taken a turn, things aren't looking so good. Spending is getting tight and people aren't running money to you anymore. 2. Tech level for all players is halved for the next 1D4 turns. 3. All prices at the in the game store double for 1D6 turns.
