The basic idea is that an inquisitor and his crew have been sent into the remains of a ruined worldship recently discovered within the great rift, an area north of the islands that separates the northern empires and colonies from the southern area of the suki corridor. They are being sent in to recover a Zylan Hybrid tank that was carried on the worldship during the great war because it was being used as an experimental tool to deal with invading plascourdron’s[plague + scourge + drone] (an alien species like the tyranids and flood from their respective IP’s, but their normal warriors are closer to the predator in function. While their mindless drones are similar to xenomorphs. They do not need to adapt, but instead eat worlds to grow and create more drones to eat more worlds. They are believed to have been manufactured during the ancient war between the Forerunners and the Primordials) the ship was lost during the great voyage from the rhineland to the berlinnic galaxy. It was initally thought destroyed or lost to the plascourdrons. Instead during its exit from the rhineland galaxy it was attacked and only half the ship entered the void, leading to the ship being attacked by the remains of long lost gods and the tormented souls of voidwalkers who lost their connection to the physical realm. The ship returned to real space within berlinnic where it began drifting, the few remaining survirors turned by the void into beasts and daemons themselves. Those who remained pure and holy were quickly destroyed.
Today the ship has drifted into the great rift within which the islands reside. A sect of pirates have turned a section of the ruined hull into their base, having cleared it out. The players will be forced to fly into the ship and head deeper into the creeping worldship in a full on dungeon crawl.
The player must walk around the ship while also protecting their guide and the expert on World Ships in the Deutschland.
The ship itself will be divided into 5 floors or sections. Each getting progessively more dangerous. The floors are laid out as follows.
-----------------------------------------CUT-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The second floor is zombies! The mutated husks of the former crew too weak to hold on in the void, who have now joined the ranks of the void damned as daemons. Their bodies remain on the ship as mindless automatons. The smartest may have a semblance of a connection their souls trapped in the void. But most simply function on the need to eat and lash out at anything which approaches them.
The second section is where the xenos who moved in while the ship was on its great voyage reside. They are mostly small vermin and the like. Nothing that should serve as a real threat to the party if they play it cautious. The xenos within are the Kintoria, a species of smelless hunters who function only on disturbances in the gravitational fields around them as they are used to the zero g conditions of the ship. They are drawn to sound, light, and active gravity.
-----------------------------------------ENDCUT-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. The pirate floor, near the outskirts of the warship the pirates are mostly staying at the outermost level as it is the only area they could clear. There are a few docking ports where they have shuttles, while their actual ships are scattered and hidden within the remains, but a large number of the pirates are currently out raiding. The people left behind are really the new recruits, the wounded, etc and a small number to keep the area safe from the beasts within. This area will also feature a shop where players can buy some supplies if they so choose, as the pirates will not initially attack the players unless prompted. They also speak wearily of where the players are heading, as they speak of the “the beast” which lives within. They say that it is the only thing able to hold back the plascourdrons.
2. The second section is where the few remaining plascourdrons live and hunt. Having thus far lived off the limited remaining power in the ship and eating the xenos beast within. These are weaker and ancient foes who will seem simple alone, but once a group forms the players will quickly find themselves overwhelmed.
3. The fifth sectionis where three Zalyn warriors patrol, hunting any plascourdrons that remain and enter its terrioty while defending its dying hybrid host. Each of the zayliens are different.
1. The first one is the hunter Zalyn, it is still being run on its original limited programming of hunting down any plascourdrons that it encounters. Unfortunately the updating of its code was never completed, so it actually is hunting down any living organism it encounters.
2. The second Zalyn is the thinker. This Zalyn achieved self awareness and used the pirates to access a wealth of information about the universe around it. It discovered it was hated by its creators and now has determined the best course of action to keep itself alive is simply to hide. While easily able to overpower the players, it is unfortunately too skittish and worried about itself to actually attack and will only do so if it absolutely must. It will first try and talk to the players and convince them it is not a threat. If it succeeds it will join the party and help them complete its goal, with the condition that the machine is kept a secret from anyone and everyone in the known universe so it can continue its work in peace.
3. The third Zalyn is actually powered, and controlled, by the hybrid tank which now contains the remains of Samantha Hunt, the long thought dead of the great Ethan Hunt (A famous mutant who was the greatest bounty hunter in history, and his research on both the Weapon X project and the Mutant Academy where groundbreaking and massively influential. To the point where the Deutschland used the data to create a whole group of mutant Wolverine like supermen crossed with Space marines from warhammer to use during the great war, the production of which was made illegal after the war, though some still remain) Samantha has only been kept alive because she is inside the tank, but is more accurately inside the Zalyn. This machine though sees the centuries that it had been lost for as a problem, and Samantha herself hates Germushia for kidnapping her after murdering her husband and thus imprisoning her here for several hundred years. She has long since lost her sanity, as well, this Zalyn has the unique ability to be the only Zalyn in history to feature a connection to the void. Capable of using a very limited set of void powers and serves as the end boss.
