Born onto a spaceship, Ingrid's life as a drifted was as much a certainty as the lack of oxygen on the opposite side of the wall. For her 18th birthday Ingrid got the gift of losing an eye while dueling fellow drifters over scraps of food that had fallen into a space station's service corridor. While crawling through a space station Ingred came across something so incomprehensible to herself that she lost most of her memories of what had been happening at that time. Or it may have been the copious amounts of drugs Ingred was doing to stay “comfortable” with her living situation. When Ingrid thought her luck had turned around, it involved the discovery of an ancient alien artifact. The artifact contained numerous vials containing a green liquid that could be loaded into an injector that allowed the user to experience the memories of those who had put their blood into the vials. Over the next four years Ingrid spent more time living other people's lives then her own. Demanded repayment for consuming the central governments air and using the central governments artificial gravity. For this crime Ingrid was drafted into the infantry. Unfortunately for Ingrid she discovered that her commanding officer was smuggling goods out of the ship they were living on. Ingrid, still hurt from having been forced into service for a government she hates, decides to inform on her officer. This would not work out as Ingrid had planned. Instead it resulted in Ingrid getting transferred to the Islands and told that if she opens her mouth again the next transfer would be out of this world.
