He wanted to explore the systems that had yet to be discovered. Lukyan was also lucky. He got accepted into the Deutschland scouting section of the navy. Allowing him to live out his dream and explore new worlds, meet new civilizations and boldly go where… a whole bunch of people have actually gone before. But this is the first time the Deutschland had gone there before! As he meets and discovers new alien species around the Deutschlands collection of worlds. Surveying them, discovering new information about them travelling from world to world. Eventually though, things went south. Lukyan accidentally misstranslated a symbol he thought meant “peace and love”, when it actually meant “if you take a cookie out of the jar, there will be punishments” and the punishment was, by all accounts just, in the thermonuclear annihilation of the Deutschland capital. Though the small world failed Lukyan had already spent his luck. Service Background During Lukyans service he often argued with his officers who would cause harm to native “lesser” species. Killing often without thinking through the ramifications of their actions. Because of this Lukyan was transferred to the islands, where there were no aliens for him to worry about.
