The  greatest service one can do in the name of their god. For Boris, it  was the darkest day of his life. He was saved from a planet that had  been set to be destroyed by orbital bombardment.   The Sigmarines were quite literally the light out from the  darkness for Boris. While watching his home and everything he ever  cared about being quite literally ripped from existence by  thermonuclear weapons as the planet underwent heavy bombardment,  Borish didn’t shed a single tear.   During his recruitment and training the strong willed Boris grew  up on one of the Deutschlands many holyworlds. The various priests  took great care of Boris, raising him less as a Sigmarine and more  like one of their own.  While escorting a priest to a small backwater world in order to  give a sermon, the holy barge they were travelling on was ambushed by  a group of pirates. The boarding parties would soon regret celebrating  their victory of ambushing a holy relic such as this. The ensuing  battle would take the lives of many pirates and the promotion of many  Sigmarines.  Once again returned to the holy planet that Boris was raised on,  Boris eventually met one of the Wives of Sigmar and fell himself in  love. The two soon marry each other as many of their kind do.   But the happy moment was ripped away when Boris got transferred  to the front lines to help break a stalemate. Boris was given his  first taste of real combat, and to Boris it was better than anything  he had eaten in his life.  Once the battle was declared a success, and Boris returned home.  He was so ecstatic to see his bride that he missed prayer time. Now  normally this isn’t a huge issue for a Sigmarine. But between wedding  vows, and the fact that he lived on a Holy World this was a major  issue. Rather than be expelled from the service Boris was sent on a  new mission to the Islands subsector. He was also given permission to  take his wife with him on the deployment.
