# Data Boats (DB's) Data Boats are small, two meter long, one meter wide ovular shaped pods which are launched and received by automated stations either in older or less developed areas by travelling at warp between stations, and in areas which have been modernized by hyperdrive. These boats carry massive data-tapes between nodes updating their information and pulling out old data. The boats are highly secure, with the most advanced and modern encryption in the UFE. They are an essential piece of government infrastructure. Though with the increasing spread of hyperspace transmitters and relays, some are beginning to question their necessity.
