# [[2108]]-[[3357]] First Federation ## Founding and First Sol War - [[2108]] - [[Over of the United Federation of Earth]] is founded in response to the newly declared Tzardom of Vers under Tzar Petrov declaring war on 'Earth' as a whole. As a result, a quasi-legal, super national organization born out of the vestigial remnants of the United Nations formed the early Federation Senate, attempting to coordinate various international bodies to direct the war effort; constructing a fleet, arming it, feeding the population, and training people all while governments are in shambles and economies in ruin. - All production on Earth is directed towards two tasks: Constructing Magnetic ACceleration Cannons on the Moon to Defend Earth, and preparing an army incase of ground fall. Limited effort is devoted to the Federations meger fleet of 17 ships. - Two Federation corvettes, one captains by Daniella Magbaredge , and the Cruiser Deucalion attack the Versian military Ship Axios, disabling the vessel but not destroying it. The ship is turned into the first Axion Station. - [[2109]] - Federation Sensors detect a large fleet of Versian landing castles en route to Earth. Reinforcements are sent to the moon along with extra ammunition. - Daniella Magbaredge is made captain of the UFEN Deucalion and brings the mage Rizewine acompany her aboard the ship. - [[2110]] The year of the Defense of Earth. Vers launched its 36 Orbital knights to lead the fleets of hte 36 founding lords to attack Earth, and 'liberate' it for the Tzar. - March - Tzar Petrov calls for - [[2111]] - The Federation selects Alexi Volkov to be Emperor of Vers hoping that this choice will prevent the Federation from getting dragged into another war before its ready. The Axion Accords are signed at Axion Station - The Federation passes its first Military Code, as well as the Senatorial code of conduct (general civil code and criminal code for Federation citizens) and the Federation Market and market Participation Code, which was effectively the body of law regulating the Federation Market. - 2112 Daniella Maghreb becomes the first president of teh United Federation of Earth after a coup - against the Senate. - *[[Dispute over Wife being Recognized Local Tradition Marriage is Entitle to Soldiers Pension]] (2112):* examined whether Stacy Jesseman, claiming a locally recognized marriage in Rome with deceased Captain Steven Woodson, was entitled to his EDF pension. Killer Karrens (2123)*: This case found that the Federation Government in the form police did have the right to infringe on Free Expression if the expression in question rose to the level of a direct threat or call for action. - 2125 _Roger Kattenfeld V. Brewing Theas (2125):_ This case questioned in a small city employer that was owned by a Federation citizen, and employed Federation citizens, and regularly paid its employee's well above average market rates for people in similar positions in the highly sought after currency of agricultural credits. Roger sued that Brewing Theas failed to provide employee's food. Brewing Thea's countered that they paid their employee's well enough to not require providing providing food. The food obligation was required of those whom the Federation classified as 'Patricians', which Kevin Thomasson, the owner of Brewing Theas was technically classified as. The Second Supreme Court of the First Federation found that Kevin paid his employee's well above market rate in a highly in demand currency, while the employee's resided in a major urban center with numerous nearby low cost food options, thus functionally fulfilled the Federation Citizens right to food. - 2130 DAniella Maghreb's second term as president ends, she is elected to a third term. - 2137 *Federation V. Citizens of Classarts (2137):* This foundational legal case set long lasting precedent that the Federation would tolerate and allow a two-tier citizenship system, so long as Federeal tier was not exclusionary. Thus one could be a citizen of their world or province and the Federation. - 2142 Daniella Maghreb's third term ends, she looses relection to Michael PArrot - 2152 Michael Parrott finishes his first presidency, loses reelection to David Parker - 2162 - David Parker finishes his presidency and loses relection to the returning MIchael Parrott - The religious breakdown of the Federation population was: 72% Old Earth Religions, 7% Agnostic, 5% Atheist, 8% Witcher, 5% Jyd-I, and 3% other faiths. - 2168 Michael parrot ends second presidency, runs for election and loses to Ashlin Lacsado - 2175 Ashlin Lascado, in a scandal ridden term focused primarily on monetary corruption and sex scandels between Ashlin and many political elites, she is impeached and an emergency election is held to finish out her term, which the returning Maghreb wins, beginning her second presidency - 2176 Maghreb finishes the first term of her second presidency and is elected to a second term - 2182 Maghreb finishes the second term of her second presidency, and is elected to a third term. - 2188 - Maghreb finisehs her third term, during which she had reformed the term lenght laws so that her own term would only be 6 years instead of its previous 8, but future terms would be 10 years in length. She does not run again. Instead Cybil Warrior is elected to the presidency - 2157 - Legal Revolution Founding the Federation Supreme Court - 2274 - - Senate, on advice from the commons and facing rulings from the supreme court, is forced into allowing the commercialization of cloning and vat growing children, this launches another major wave of colonization. - The senate also introduces multiple subsidies for families, parents, mothers, and those raising kids, essentially producing massive economic hand-outs and offers to resettle to frontier planets with free land if they'll help populate it. # 2368-3376 AI Wars - [[2368]] - Start of First AI War - [[2402]] - End of First AI War - 2512 - The Senate, on advice from the commons, challenges the Supreme Court and declares that commercial cloning is an affront to humanity, an insult to human dignity, and fundamentally undermines the sanctity of life as held by the majority of the Federation population, thereby banning, while massive expanding supports for sex-change surgeries, and further economic supports expanded. - 2767 - The religious breakdown of the Federation population was: 37% Old Earth Religions, 12% Agnostic, 3% Atheist, 29% Witcher, 11% Jyd-I, 4% Catholic Sigmarism, and 4% other faiths. - [[2982]] - Start of Second AI War - [[3000]] -End of Second AI War - 3143 - A report comes out from the Hobsbawn institute, published by Dr. Weber-Malthuse, which declares that the political-economic-sociological structure of the Federations 'birth incentives' have led to a massive over-population crisis due to the slowly losing amount of Frontiers, and the general lack of economic expansion and development resulting from the heavy government subsidisation. - The result, the report argues, is that the Federation has industry to maintain the military, colonization, and raise future generations to fight and take land.
